Greetings Writers-

Congratulations to all of our writers who have gotten the call from Producers scouting theTV Writers Vault for new projects. October, to date, has had the most executive activity of the year.

Focussing in on the types of projects that appear to be targeted by producers requesting contact with Writers, we're seeing that reality-based shows exploring a unique profession are the order, with Game Shows following. In addition to a great Treatment/synopsis needed for the Producer to see the format of the show, it also helps to have some tape on the subject. A 3 minute reel covering the people and profession is often whats requested by the Producer or Development Exec. As a result of this activity, we'll be adding the "Profession or Business" genre to our submissions form so executives can focus in on this niche of programs.

I'm happy to share any advice or quidance that may fit your project's needs. Feel free to contact me direct at scott@tvwritersvault.com

Best of success to all of our Writers and Producers developing that next groundbreaking project. Write inspired.

Best Regards,

The Write Idea!

The most common hurdle that a great "idea" faces is the communication of that idea to the Producer buying it. Too often development executives and producers are pitched projects that sound great in theory, but upon closer examination lack the well-formulated detail and format that supports that idea as a show.

The professional writer knows to how to write and pitch what we are watching, not just a vague notion of an idea that sounds clever. Collaboration is also key. Whether you hire a professional, or partner with another writer, two minds and a fresh perspective are almost always necessary to find the potential in a project.
