Dear Writers & Friends -

Keep your pen to paper because we're having a tremendous amount of activity from our industry members scouting new projects at the TV Writers Vault. In the past month we've had more than 850 projects reviewed, and more than 30 projects getting the nod from Producers wanting to connect for development. We also welcome our second executive from Fremantle Media North America scouting reality-based projects.

One of the benefits of connecting with Producers through our service is the ongoing relations for pitching you may develop with them. We love our members' loyalty to our service, but we encourage all to foster any connections made through us so you can maintain that direct contact with the Producer. Many writers have won an option deal with a producer, and continued developing and pitching projects with that producer as their direct contact. We're happy to take kudos for the introduction, but love even more when our Clients can expand their direct network within the industry.

Typically you'll discover that although a current project isn't getting sold, the Producer loves the way you think and formulate concepts, so its as much a benefit to them as it is you to keep that creative pipeline flowing, and ultimately hitting on that one project that gets a deal. Our most productive and successful members have a handful of Producers they chat with regularly and pitch directly, as well as continuing to pitch new projects in the TV Writers Vault. Our future will be driven by launching careers, not just selling single projects. So keep up the hard work, and we'll work to create more opportunity for you.

A special congratulations goes out to one of our industry members, Darryl Trell of Smoke & Mirrors Creative, for Executive Producing FOX's newest hit show "Mobbed". Launched as a special, the show found such strong reaction from audiences that Fox confirmed overnight its order as a Series. 8 additional episodes are expected.

We wish all of our members a great Spring, and continued success.

Best,

Scott Manville
President
The TV Writers Vault
